OK so, this is old.
Like.
Even MORE old than most of the ones in here. The style I used for her head is older, and the fact that it has next to NO shading is another clear indication that this is quite an old piece. X'D

Either way, I found this, among a few other older works of mine, and nearly forgot about them! SO, me being me, I wanted to show their amazingness to you all! _{I kid you not, these actually look very good, considering how much I used to fail with humans and the ladder. These were when I was just starting to change my style to what it is like now, I'm guessing.}

So as for the picture.....This actually has a fairly deep meaning.
We have Avalyn in her Human State (...Which no longer exists~) and in the background, a little "sneak-peak" I guess of her Dragon State....But why does Ava look sad?
Well....The secretive meaning I had behind this, is that:

Back when I created this picture, her universe hadn't gone through Dimensional-Recreation yet, and then changed and flipped around even more to what it currently is...Meaning the Runes were still present in all the dimensions and worlds, and the spirit realm was still "alive and kicking." ALSO meaning that, Avalyn was still the fabled "Guardian of the Runes" and in retrospect, the Goddess of the Eclipse.
She was the secretive helper and savior of lost souls, and dead souls.  She was that powerful, mysterious being that would help overpowered/overhwlemed Guardian Core Soldiers (when the Cloud Core was still CALLED the "Guardian Core" XD) and when she would help defend the town, or ANY world she was on, from powerful or dangerous beings.  She was a powerful, mysterious savior.  Great to be that way, right? Having just the THOUGHT of you savored and nearly worshiped; people wanting to glimpse you, and speaking of you as if you're a legend in itself. Great right?  Technically it is, but no-one really knows how the ACTUAL BEING thought of this.
Sure, Avalyn loved doing it.  Her "goal" in life, or her "drive" has always been to help people; to make them smile.  But the real truth behind it is.....To make others happy, and to help them and protect the innocent.....It quite a lot of the time, cost her OWN happiness...She was made miserable, put through so much:  Beaten, battered, hunted, injured.  She put herself through so much crap, to help and protect the others who needed it....So....There was darkness behind her light.  The only ones who eventually learned of it were her friends:  the ones who cared and helped her.

The overall gist behind this image, and what Avalyn herself sometimes thought, was:
"The Guardian helps all.....But who helps the Guardian?"

OK so...That was long. X'D I'm sorry peeps, but that had a REALLY deep meaning, and I felt it important to share it with you. |D Ironically though, even though the actual basis of that time and this picture isn't quite valid anymore, since Gods/Goddesses are...I THINK practically non-existant now thanks to the Dimensional Recreation and all that, but the message behind it still stands. Avalyn still has the same drive fueling her that she had back when she had those power and titles.  But only life/time will tell if she still has the same drawback, as well..
